How long does the process take?

Unlike mass-produced books, each page is individually formed, pressed, dried, and carefully prepared before the journal is bound.

What happens to the keepsakes I send?

Love is never measured by the number of keepsakes we save. Sometimes a single handwritten recipe, a favorite photograph, or one pressed flower is enough to tell an extraordinary story.
Can multiple family members contribute?
Absolutely.
Many families choose to make their Continuing Bonds journal a collaborative remembrance, inviting parents, children, siblings, grandparents, and close friends to share their memories, photographs, handwritten notes, recipes, letters, or meaningful keepsakes. Each contribution adds another perspective to the story, creating a richer and more complete portrait of the person being remembered.
Not every family member experiences grief in the same way, and not everyone will choose to contribute. That's perfectly okay. A journal can reflect the voice of one person or the shared memories of many. There is no right or wrong approach—only the one that feels most meaningful to your family.
Some families choose to include letters written directly to their loved one. Others contribute favorite stories, treasured photographs, or memories of special moments that might otherwise be forgotten. Together, these individual reflections become a lasting legacy that future generations can read, hold, and cherish.

You don't need to know how a journal should be designed or which keepsakes should be included before reaching out. During our conversations, we'll explore your ideas together, discuss the memories that matter most, and discover meaningful ways to tell your loved one's story.
Sometimes a family has a clear vision from the beginning. More often, they simply know they want to preserve someone's memory but aren't sure where to start. Together, we'll thoughtfully consider photographs, handwritten notes, recipes, flowers, fabrics, meaningful objects, and the stories behind them to create a journal that feels authentic and deeply personal.
Every decision is made collaboratively and with great care. I'll offer guidance, share ideas, and explain the possibilities, but the journal will always reflect your wishes and the unique life it honors. Nothing is incorporated without your approval.
My role is not only to create a handcrafted journal, but also to help guide you through the process with patience, compassion, and respect. You don't have to have all the answers. We'll discover them together.
